IT’S AN EXPERIENCE. It’s not an appointment.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Putnam Dental Associates’ success is based on loyalty, community, customer service, commitment, and family. I feel honored to be a part of this family and journey. We look forward to building for the next generation in partnership with patients like you. The ability to form this type of enduring relationship with our patients allows us to foster a level of pride in our work that is immeasurable. We know you have many options available to you, and we are truly grateful for your continued trust in our practice. We work extraordinarily hard to maintain an open dialogue with our patients to ensure we continue delivering the dental health services you value for many decades to come. 2018 is going to be a year of fantastic growth for our practice, and these changes will represent our ongoing journey to ensure our patients receive better dental care and service than they would receive anywhere else. We will continue to strive for your complete satisfaction and remain an industry leader. As we do, you have our wholehearted commitment to your dental health and overall well-being. Thank you for your continued trust in our practice, and may 2018 be a year of health, happiness, and joy for you and your family.

I want to take this time to thank you for choosing Putnam Dental Associates and

giving us the privilege of serving your dental health needs. As many of you know, Putnam Dental Associates has been faithfully serving our patients’ needs for more than 30 years. We take great pride in what we do, our loyalty to our patients, our dedicated team, and our commitment to lasting patient relationships — all of which have helped our practice grow into one of the most trusted dental practices in the region. Your trust in our practice allows us to deliver the best quality dental care and a level of service that continues to exceed expectations. As a dental health provider, we inherently believe that we treat people , not teeth. We have gone through a remarkable evolution in the past 30 years as we have pursued our vision to become the region’s most trusted dental practice. But one of the most profound changes over this time has been the richer understanding of — and deeper commitment to — our patients. Providing the highest-quality dental care is the spirit behind Putnam Dental Associates’ vision and core values. In 2018, we will be placing an even greater emphasis on our patients to build on this foundation and take it to a new level. We believe these objectives will provide a clear line of sight not only toward our vision, but also toward our success in creating value to you. Our team is excited about these initiatives and those that we expect will follow in the future. This is especially true as we work to address areas in which we know we must continue to do better. In keeping with this spirit, we invite and encourage you to share your thoughts on our practice and performance going forward. We take this feedback seriously and always welcome it.

7 TIPS TO KEEP KIDS SMILING

5. Play It Safe If your child plays a sport, make sure they wear a mouthguard. Mouthguards can help prevent injury to the jaw, mouth, and teeth and are significantly less expensive than the cost of repairing an injury. Your dentist should offer custom mouthguards to ensure your child’s safety. 6. Keep Away From the Sugar Monster It’s difficult for kids to navigate snack choices to make wise decisions when presented with an array of tempting, sugary options. Make healthy snacks appealing. Limit sugar at home as much as possible and avoid putting fizzy drinks, sugary fruit juices, and sweets in lunchboxes. 7. Regular Checkups Every Six Months Are Key We can’t stress this enough. Detecting and tackling problems early can avoid costly and painful procedures in the future. It is a crucial investment in your child’s future oral health. You achieve this with regular checkups. Want more information about dental health and how to maintain your family’s oral hygiene? Contact the dentists at Putnam Dental Associates and see why their patients have rated them the best dental practice in the region!

February is Children’s Dental Health Month, and it’s a good time to remind parents about the importance of early childhood dental visits and establishing an oral hygiene routine at a young age. Did you know decay can occur as soon as teeth appear? Tooth decay impacts more than oral health. Bacteria in the mouth can also spread to the body and eventually contribute to heart disease, stroke, and more. Here are seven tips from the dentists at Putnam Dental Associates: 1. Establish a Dental Health Relationship Early Schedule a dental visit for your child within six months of the first tooth eruption or by your child’s first birthday. 2. Clean Gums While Teeth Are Erupting Baby teeth are at risk for decay as soon as they appear. Start oral health right away. 3. Limit Bottles at Bedtime to Only Water Napping or sleeping with juice or milk can cause childhood decay due to sugars from the liquids staying in direct contact with the teeth for prolonged periods. 4. Prevent Bad Habits Thumb sucking and pacifiers after age 2 can create crowded, crooked teeth or bite problems.
