ANOTHER WORD FOR LOVE HERE’S TO ALL THE AMAZING MOMS

I am truly blessed to be surrounded by my amazing mothers. Both of my grandmothers have lost their husbands, but they’re still so strong and holding each side of the family together. I also have five wonderful aunts who do so much for our family. Then there’s my mom, who is basically my backbone and my best friend. She’s been there for me every day of my life, and I couldn’t have gotten where I am today without her. I also want to shout out my boyfriend’s mom, my someday mother-in-law. She’s a wonderful person and an amazing mother. She raised eight kids all by herself. I can’t imagine how hard that was! She did a great job raising her kids to be good people and keeping her family strong and together. I’m surrounded by wonderful mothers and women who are amazing role

“When you look into your mother's eyes, you know that is the purest love you can find on this earth.” –Mitch Albom Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 10 — don’t forget to call your mom! To celebrate, the APN Physical Therapy team is sharing stories about our amazing moms. These remarkable women deserve to be celebrated every day. As a child, it was comforting to know that my mother was going to be there for me no matter what. As an adult, I’ve realized how much my mother sacrificed so she could be there for us. Everything my mother did was for our family. We had a large family with four kids running around. My dad worked full time, and my mother was a stay-at-home mom when we were young. Then in her late 30s, when we were a little older, she went back to work to help out financially. Even when my mother was in the workforce full time, she was still a full- time mother. She made sure the house was clean, dinner was made, and we kids were taken care of every day. It was remarkable what she accomplished. I didn’t appreciate what she did when I was a kid, but I recognize her hard work today and am so grateful to her. As a parent myself now, I’m also amazed by my wife. Cyndi is an amazing mother to our kids. She’s there for them always and will bend over backward to make sure they are safe, happy, and healthy. The love she has for her family is remarkable. I can’t imagine having a better wife or a better mother to my children than Cyndi.

treated me like one of her own. Earlier this year, she flew me out to Florida to visit Nikki just because she knew how happy it would make both of us. Dana really is one of the best moms I know.

My mom has always been one of my best friends. She was a stay-at-home mom until I was 13, and when I was little, she took me everywhere with her. I was her little buddy. As I got older, we still did everything together, and I know I can turn to her if I need something today. It doesn’t matter if I need to vent about some frustration or if I need someone to go shopping with, my mom will be there. On Mother’s Day, I find myself missing my grandmother a lot. She passed away in 2006, but her birthday was around Mother’s Day. She was a really great person. In the days before email and cellphones, we lived far apart, so she wrote me letters all the time. She wanted to keep in touch and hear about everything that was going on in my life. I still have her letters, which I am so grateful for. When I’m really missing my grandmother, I can take out her letters and remember how much she loved me.

models. They all deserve to be celebrated on Mother’s Day.

As Gabby already mentioned, our mom is amazing. She’s honestly a great person all around. She’s been a great role model for us, and she’s helped us so much over the years to become strong, confident people. This Mother’s Day, I’m also celebrating a special woman named Dana. She’s the mother of my best friend, Nikki. For as long as I’ve known Dana, she’s always been willing to break her back for her kids if that’s what it takes. She’s the kind of mom who’s ready to give everything in a heartbeat. Dana always goes the extra mile for her children, and she’s always
