MGM - data cabling system
MGM Data Services was contracted to supply and install a complete Category 6 UTP Data structured cabling system throughout the Claremont site. The system comprised OM4 fiberoptic backbone cabling between multiple comms cabinet locations; a Cat 6 structured cabling system for site-wide services, CCTV, WiFi, voice, data, access control and EV charging units; and a Cat 6 structured cabling system within each apartment for TV and WiFi systems. Approximately 1,300 Cat 6 UTP cables were installed and commissioned, and nine comms room locations were linked with OM4 Fibre optic cables. Excel Networks supplied the structured cabling system, with MGM Data Services providing a 25-year Excel manufacturers’ warranty for the complete project. Marc McMeel, Owner, says, “This was a very prestigious project to be involved in and our largest residential development to date with such a high spec and standard of workmanship throughout. “We have worked on numerous projects in the past in partnership with O’Neill Mechanical & Electrical Services and Walls Construction and have found them both to be very accommodating and professional.”

Ashfield - diesel generators
Ashfield Power Services Ltd supplied O’Neill Mechanical & Electrical Services with two standby diesel generators for the Claremont site. Business Development Manager John Nally worked alongside O’Neill Mechanical & Electrical Services Director Shane O’Neill to ensure the gensets fit into the rooms as planned, with the correct airflow in and out and an extended exhaust flue. Both gens used were bunded units to ensure long, safe service lives. The FMT range was chosen for its build quality and the support provided by its importer. The machines were fully commissioned and tested on load after verifying integration with the BMS. Ashfield Power Services Ltd supplies and fits back up generators from multiple suppliers. Karl Marshall, Managing Director, says, “We look for the best fit for the end-user, not what we have in stock at the time.
