Irish manufacturer Ei Electronics is adding a new Logistics Centre to its Shannon campus, with the facility on track to open in the second half of 2026. Designed by O’Neill O’Malley Architecture with Flynn as main contractor, the new hub will support the company’s manufacturing and distribution of life safety devices. In 2022, the company opened modern, new 10,000sqm headquarters at its existing campus in Shannon, adding manufacturing, R&D and office space and announcing plans to recruit 200
staff members. Aimed at reinforcing its position as a global leader in residential fire and carbon monoxide detection, the new R&D laboratory supports a 30-person R&D team with expertise spanning electronics, chemistry, mechanical design, software, AI, and data analytics. It includes advanced test chambers, smoke tunnels, 3D printing, and RF development equipment, aligned with the company’s growing focus on Connected Home and IoT solutions. www.eielectronics.com
