FEATURING BOTH CLASSIC AND SHORTER CYCLING ROUTES, THE IEBA FUNDRAISER IS SET TO TAKE PLACE AROUND LOUGH DERG, CO CLARE ON SEPTEMBER 4… Date set for Dash of the Derg 2026
Having quickly become established as a key fundraising event for the Irish Benevolent Electrical Association (IEBA), Dash of the Derg is returning for a third year. Sign up for an unforgettable day of cycling, scenic views and community spirit, with two bike routes planned again for the 2026 event, which is set to be held on September 4. Organised by the Irish Electrical Cycling Club (IECC), the event offers cyclists a choice of a 116km classic loop circumnavigating beautiful Lough Derg or a shorter 63km route. All those involved in the electrical industry, including contractors, wholesalers, consultant engineers and distributors, as well as their family and friends, are invited to participate. Founded in 2001, IEBA extends support to members of the electrical industry and their families experiencing difficulties with,
for example, bereavement, depression, terminal illness, accidental death, special treatments or retraining. Further 2026 events include golf days on April 17 in Dublin and May 20 in Cork, a Race Day at Leopardstown on May 10 and Winter Ball on November 20.
