LOCAL STREETS A Pass-Through Zone Activity analysis for local streets showed the typical travel time and trip length (among other attributes) for vehicles in and near the study area. The analysis included all trips within the collection dates all day long across the middle weekdays: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. As shown in the table below, trip length was sampled in multiple locations to represent one average for the local network. As in the I-75/I-85 Downtown Connector trips length analysis, StreetLight reports travel distances in ranges from 0-1 miles, 1-2 miles, 2-5 miles, and beyond. Therefore the number of trips 2-3 miles long was derived to calculate the number of bikeable trips. Considering the trip length distribution, an average of 11% of current vehicular trips on local streets are less than 3 miles long. Within that 11%, an average of 1% of current vehicular trips on local streets are less than 1 mile long and may be suitable for walking, and an average of 10% of current vehicular trips on local streets are 1-3 miles long and may be suitable for biking.
