Description

West Peachtree St Two-way Protected Bike Lane Ivan Allen Jr Blvd/Ralph McGill Blvd Bike Facility

A two-way protected bike lane on West Peachtree Street between Peachtree Street and Linden Street. A protected bike lane and/or sidepath along Ivan Allen Jr. Boulevard and Ralph McGill Boulevard between Luckie Street and Central Park Place. To supplement the city’s investment in a bike lane on Courtland Street, ADID is investing in bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure on Renaissance Parkway between Peachtree Street and Central Park Place. Remove free-flow lanes and upgrade signals at Piedmont Avenue and create park at southeast corner of Highland and Piedmont in coordination with C-7 Baker Street two-way conversion, C-63 Piedmont Bike Lane, and INT-8. Enhance corridor with streetscape improvements to sidewalks and ADA ramps at intersections, trail improvements from Piedmont Avenue to Jackson St. Reduce number of lanes to one in each direction and a center turn lane to accommodate bike lanes in each direction connecting Georgia Tech at North Avenue to Centennial Olympic Park.
