education in the secular field, and I have never been able to attain that recognition. In the first place, because my degrees were honorary degrees. In the second place, because they knew I was the President of a Bible Institute, not the President of a college. They were very respectful and cordial, but I was never held in very high esteem by academia. Dr. Chase was highly and totally respected. I rejoice in the stature that Biola attained during his Presidency. All of the moves that were made, the establishment of the Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola, the establishment of the Nurses Program, the beginnings of the School of Intercultural Studies and many other features. The establishment of the Computer Department was also a notable highlight of that time, and we rejoiced in that. When Dr. Chase left, the current President has continued the work of development. The School of Intercultural Studies became a full-fledged school.
