maturity that we who are older possess, or at least should possess. Many of the them come from worldly churches where dancing is permitted and where card playing and other forms of worldly amusements are frequently carried on, and it is difficult for them to see how it is wrong for them to do it at Biola when they are permitted to do it at their home church. My own conviction in this regard is that if we lower our standards to meet the current standards of the average Christian church, it will not be long until we are no more spiritually minded than the average Christian church, and that is continually going downward. We, as a school seeking to develop Christian leaders, must maintain a higher standard of conduct and attitude in our spiritual lives than the average Christian church possesses. So, we've got to lead in this regard, regardless of the trends of the times in Christendom.
