WHAT WERE SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF YOUR TIME AS DEAN? PRESIDENT? AS A BOARD MEMBER AFTER LEAYING THE PRESIDENCY?

RESPONSE:

Highlights of the time that I was Dean; there weren't too many highlights. There were a lot of lowlights, but no highlights while I was Dean. But I think the outstanding experience that I had during the ten years that I was Dean was the occasion as follows. I had been pushing rather earnestly, too earnestly perhaps, for the development of Biola into a Bible College rather than just a Bible Institute. This was during the war, and I realized that at the end of the war there would be a great influx of students and there would also be a demand for a more comprehensive type of education at Biola than existed prior to WWII.
