we thought we could apply for admission into the Western College Association as a liberal arts school. Dr. Bricks, who was then Executive Secretary of the WCA, was favorably inclined. But in the course of conversation, I told him that we were planning on making a move to a new campus. Immediately he threw up a red flag and said, "Whoa, let's stop everything until you get to the campus, because we don't want to accredit a paper organization." So we had to postpone further progress toward getting accreditation with the WCA. Then we spent most of the time developing the curriculum further and at the same time, working on the development of the campus. The thoughts on moving to a new campus have been discussed under a different section. But when we were working diligently on a spot on which we could erect a campus, we looked out at the Pacific Palisades, in the San Fernando Valley, back in Burbank, Monrovia, and along the foothills of the Sierra Madre range.
