In connection with the campaign, it was formally announced the men in the Field Department had committees in their respective areas, and everyone was working very diligently in making the campaign a financial success. By way of background, there was a gentleman, whose name I have forgotten, who was a very dear friend of Mr. Lyman Stewart. This gentleman set up a trust fund of $100,000 to take care of his wife in case of his death. The trust was set-up such that the school would get the principal. He died, and his widow lived in Fillmore or Santa Paula, somewhere in that area. She was an invalid and she lived all during those depression years, during the forties and way into the fifties. There were many, many times while the school was over $1,000,000 in debt that some of the businessmen wondered if it wouldn't be a wonderful thing for her to become glorified. But she wasn't. Sure enough, along about 1955 or '56 while we were right in the middle of the big campaign, she passed away. And when her
