estate was probated, the school realized between $400,000 and $500,000. That was one of the highlights of my Presidency. Another one occurred when a gentleman who lived in the Wilshire district passed away. He had been listening to Dr. Talbot through the years. He thought very highly of Dr. Talbot and would contribute $500 to $1,000 rather frequently towards the school just because Dr. Talbot urged the giving. Gene Poole, a member of our Field Department, used to visit him, and Dr. Talbot would visit him. They had a very close relationship, but nobody else was allowed to get into his home. He was a very definite recluse. He had a housekeeper and a gardener and they took care of all of his affairs, except his business manager who came in periodically. When I became President in 1952, Gene Poole asked this gentleman if I could go over to see him. He said no, he didn't want to see me, because he was afraid I would try to high pressure him and he wasn't about to give anymore to the
