cracked me up. And so, I had to quit right then and there on that line, and I said, in effect, that everything had worked out satisfactorily, our efforts were not in vain and we had just received membership into the Western College Association as a fully accredited member. You can imagine that the excitement was uproarious. They almost tore the building apart. And I feared for my life and limb for a little while, thinking that the men were going to stampede me for holding them out on a limb for so long. But I hid behind three or four women and everything was safe. At the end I announced when we could get quiet that there would be no classes that day. And that caused another uproar of joy. Of course, this was a tremendous highlight to me. Another time was when the Board decided after we got out of the horrendous debt of the Depression years, that the school would never go into debt again. So we had to obtain the money to carry on the school, and at the same time we had to get enough
