The School for Graduate Studies and Research Virtual Expo The School for Graduate Studies and Research hosted a virtual expo on April 28, 2022 which targeted teachers who expressed interest in pursuing graduate programmes at The UWI, Mona. More than 100 attendees participated and the following week (May 6), graduate applications increased by over 200 applicants. UWI Delegation visits Washington, DC Ambassador Audrey Marks extended an invitation to Prof. Dale Webber (Principal), Dr. Donovan Stanberry (Campus Registrar,) and Mrs. Catherine Park-Thwaites (Campus Bursar), to visit Washington, DC in May 2022. The objective of the visit was to, amongst other things, connect with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and members of the diaspora, and determine possible partnership arrangements (exchange programmes, research, teaching and learning opportunities). The delegation visited 7 universities, met with 3 funding agencies

The UWI hosted a team from the State University of Delaware on June 23, 2022. The aim of the visit was to strengthen ties between the two institutions and discuss the possibility of future collaborations.

and other private sector entities, held a dinner meeting with members of the diaspora, and met with Sir George Alleyne (former Chancellor of The UWI), and the Ambassador of Kenya to the United States. Outcomes of the visit included a “Let’s Connect” event with Howard University. As a follow-up to that visit, The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, hosted a team from the State University of Delaware on June 23, 2022.. The aim of the visit was to strengthen ties between the two institutions and to discuss the possibility of future collaborations. Discussions are underway for the establishment and coordination of joint educational programmes where students will do scholarly exchanges,
