FLORENCE BLOCK Dear Friends and Colleagues: I am proud to share with you the names of the recipients of the U.S. Green Building Council New Jersey Chapter’s 13th Annual Emerald Awards. Each year, we recog- nize and present these distinguished awards to companies, organizations and in- dividuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievement and best practices in green building and sustainability. These finalists are an example of the best in sus- tainability and green design that New Jersey has to offer. I am truly inspired b these award winners and honorees. The winners will be celebrated at USGBC NJ’s 13th Annual Emerald Awards Mas- querade Ball on Friday, October 30th at the Conference Center of the LEED® certified University Hall at Montclair State University. Here are this year’s winners: HONOREE : LG Electronics: Life’s Good When You Live Green The 2015 award winners are : Innovative Sustainability Initiative: NJ School Boards Association and NJ Department of Education - New Jersey Green Program of Study; Not for Profit Green Project: Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association’s Watershed Center for Environmental Advocacy, Science and Education; Suburban Green Project – Residential: 45 Linden Lane; Suburban Green Project – Commer- cial: Munich Re America Plaza 3 - Conference & Fitness Center; Urban Green Project: Hudson County Community College Library Building; and Corporate Culture: Realogy Corporate Headquarters. HONORABLE MENTIONS : PSE&G Customer Service Center (Corporate Culture, Commitment); and Mont- clair State University Sustainability Center: Inspired by Earthship (Environmental Club at Montclair State).
