Don’t Go to the Grave With Your Music Still Inside You Growth Is Found In Introspection And Inspiration

“You don’t want to go to the grave with your music still inside you.” These words were said to me a long time ago, and they still resonate in my head today. The time you have on earth is more important than the education we referenced in the last cover and more important than the money you make. Every day, we are presented with a clean slate, and each of us has a unique opportunity to do something amazing and be a catalyst for growth in the lives of others. But we can’t accomplish this without taking time to reflect on what makes us the unique individuals we are. at the center of my success and the lessons I’ve learned. He provided me with situations that allowed me to develop a life he could broadcast his grace through. Growing up working at my dad’s gas station taught me many lessons, especially about how to treat people. These opportunities cultivated my When I take a good look at what makes me tick as a human being, I see God

ability and desire to help others. I learned that diversity equals opportunities for growth. I learned that I could adopt the great qualities that made each person I surrounded myself with successful. Once I understood the drive I had inside of me, I was always thinking about what could happen if I pushed myself a little harder. Over the years, I also learned that different qualities also had to fit in with my own personal compass, and if a quality didn’t fit, it was discarded immediately. Reflecting on my own skills is only one part of the equation, though. While I learn small lessons from myself, I gain even greater insight from others. Take, for example, the people that I work with. I learn something from them every day. There are plenty of great people out there who accomplish nothing because fear holds them back. This isn’t the case with our team at the Dellutri Law Group. Just because my name is on the sign doesn’t mean that I don’t get my fair share of criticism. Our team is fearless in every respect. They challenge me. They challenge my opinions. They challenge our systems. They are not afraid to tell me “You are nuts” or (my favorite) “That’s the worst idea you’ve ever had.” Fearlessness has always been encouraged, and being afraid to speak will never be tolerated. The word “impossible” is unacceptable, and everyone knows it. Our team never gives up, never stops fighting, and never stops inspiring me. So, what is it that makes them unstoppable? Our clients.

There are plenty of great people out there who accomplish nothing because fear holds them back.

–Carmen Dellutri the stronger your empire becomes. We don’t use the words “good enough” in our firm because good enough isn’t good enough for us. We take time to relax and enjoy life, but all the while, we believe that we want to be all used up with nothing left to give when God punches our time cards. It’s pivotal to surround yourself with people who help you get stuff done, celebrate with you when you reach a new goal, and most importantly, encourage you to keep moving forward when you fail. Iron sharpens iron. Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.” All of us at the Dellutri Law Group think we can. You can’t go through life with limiting beliefs. I believe you build your own empire, and that empire is inside of your brain. The more quality people you surround yourself with, and the more you look inside yourself, They need us. They trust us. They believe in us. They expect great things from us, and we deliver.

Which auto body collision center should I use

after a car accident?

Let’s start with the insurance company’s body shop. They will give you a list of one, two, or three different body shops which they call “preferred providers.” Usually, these body shops have some type of agreement with the insurance companies. This agreement will usually be to bill the insurance company directly and have access for the adjusters to get on the property and look at your car fairly quickly. Also, the adjuster sometimes works from the body shop to adjust the claims as they come in. This can be convenient for the consumer. Likewise, if you can get into a rental quickly, again, this is convenient. It’s kind of like a one-stop shop for all your auto body collision needs. But is this in your best interest when it comes to fixing your car properly? In other words, who does this body shop pledge its allegiance to? Is it the insurance company that is writing the check or the consumer? Who is the real party of interest? Of course, the insurance company will tell you that if you do not use their preferred provider, there could be significant delays in processing your claim and the overall time to get the vehicle fixed. I’m here to

tell you, that is ridiculous, and I don’t want you to drink their Kool-Aid.

All of the body shops we work with process their claims and start on the work as quickly as possible. They have no interest in keeping your car on their lot any longer than it needs to be there. However, they will not let the car leave their lot until the customer is 100 percent satisfied with the work that was performed. That’s the difference you should be looking for. There is a win-win in this decision. If one of the preferred providers on the insurance company list is also one of the providers your attorney is recommending to you, and one of the body shops that you have had a prior dealing with, it’s a win-win-win situation.

The other school of thought is to take your car to someone who is not “in bed“ with the insurance companies. I always prefer taking my car to a certain shop. I know the owners, I trust the owners, and I know they will do the best job for me. They will fight with the insurance companies to make sure my car gets the best parts on the market, and the quality of the workmanship will be nothing short of outstanding. Behind the scenes, this auto body shop receives a substantial portion of its revenue from insurance companies, but they still give their allegiance to the consumer, not the insurance company.

HEAR FROM A HAPPY CLIENT “Our first experience with Carmen Dellutri came a little over 10 years ago. My wife and I faced financial difficulties and needed legal aid. We went to [Dellutri] law group off of a recommendation from a coworker. My wife and I were super stressed about our difficulties and not sure what to expect from the meeting or what our future held. Carmen met with us and immediately put our fears at ease. To sum up the meeting, he told us, “I got you. I will make sure you’re okay.” He walked us through a settlement that exceeded our expectations. He and his staff were always there for us to answer questions and ease our fears. Over the last few years, we have

had cause to call his office a couple other times, but the problem dissipated before we had a chance to meet with him. Recently, a new issue came up that we felt might require legal aid. We came in again for our free consultation, and once more Carmen put us completely at ease, letting us know that he was there to fight for us. Through his advice, we again reached a settlement. I left our second experience with Carmen with a sure knowledge he is not only our lawyer, but a family friend. He will always have our back and be the first one I turn to with any legal problem.”

Greg McKeown’s ‘Essentialism’

Will Help You Declutter Your Workload

“If you don’t prioritize your life, someone else will,” writes Greg McKeown in “Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less.” When he set out to write the book, McKeown wanted to know what keeps skilled, driven people from achieving as much as possible. What he found was that many people suffer not from being lazy, but from allocating their time ineffectively. The impulse to “do it all” keeps folks from spending their time on the things that actually matter. The book, then, serves as a guide to cutting out the extraneous and focusing on the essential. “Life is not an all-you-can-eat buffet,” McKeown says. “It’s amazingly great food. Essentialism is about finding the right food. More and more is valueless. Staying true to my purpose and being selective in what I take on results in a more meaningful, richer, and sweeter quality of life.” This metaphor can be applied to your work life as well. There aren’t enough hours in the day to accomplish every task. The essentialist works to spend their time diligently by pursuing what actually matters, rather than filling their days with meaningless busywork.

philosophy can be characterized by three simple words: less but better. This, in essence, is what essentialists believe.

Doing your best work where it matters and cutting out the superfluous will allow you to better manage your time and increase your performance. As McKeown puts it, “It is about making the wisest possible investment of your time and energy in order to operate at your highest point of contribution by doing only what is essential.” Instead of having their energy spread out in a million different directions, essentialists channel it into what really matters. McKeown also advocates for defining your purpose in order to accurately assess what’s essential and what isn’t. The more a task contributes to your purpose, the more essential it is. Many business owners and leaders struggle to let go of tasks that are best left to other employees. If you’ve ever found yourself struggling to manage a massive workload while resenting the fact that much of what you do is needless, then it’s time to pick up a copy of “Essentialism.”

Early in the book, McKeown uses famed Braun designer Dieter Rams as an example of an essentialist. He notes that Rams’ design

Falsities You’ve Been Told About Jury Duty

SUMMONED TO COURT

JURY DUTY MYTHS

There are so many rumors about jury duty that it can be difficult to know which ones are true. Here are three of the most popular speculations, debunked. ADMITTING BIAS WILL ENSURE YOUR DISMISSAL If you admit that you are biased when you serve jury duty, it does not guarantee your dismissal. In fact, a judge cannot dismiss you for being biased — but an attorney can. In addition, attempting to portray yourself as a biased person can put you in a troubling situation. Attorneys and judges have been selecting jurors for a long time and know when someone is lying to them. Your best bet will be to give honest answers to the questions they ask. NO VOTING, NO JURY DUTY According to another circulating myth, if you aren’t registered to vote, you don’t have to serve jury duty. Many people believe this myth because voting enters you into the jury duty pool, but there are other means by which citizens are chosen. Other ways you’re entered into the pool include buying a home, paying taxes, and getting a driver’s license. Even if you aren’t registered to vote, you’re still liable to be summoned.

SERVING JURY DUTY WILL GET YOU FIRED If you’re worried about getting fired for serving jury duty, you can breathe easy. Your employer cannot fire you once you’ve been selected for jury service. In fact, if your boss threatens to fire you for it, they will face the penalties, which include fines and even jail time. Many employers know and understand this, but if yours doesn’t, you can submit a file of complaint to the trial court administrator, and they will take care of the rest for you. The system to select jurors has been around for a while, and those involved know what they’re doing. It’s best to go in with an open mind and be completely honest. After all, it is your civic duty to do so.
