The Economics Society meets every Thursday lunchtime and boys are exposed to a wide range of views on economic issues. Speakers this year have included MPs, members of pressure groups, think tank and business leaders, civil servants, College governors, and our own pupils.

Their economic philosophies make a lot more sense once you know the context in which they were writing – Marx is a prime example.’ Dillon Harindiran, Year 13 In March, a team of six Remove economists went to the Chartered Accountants Hall in Moorgate to compete in the regional heat of the Business, Accounting and Skills Education (BASE) competition, organised by the ICAEW. The team were tasked with formulating a business strategy in a thought- provoking business game.
Trips to City of London institutions take place throughout the year.
