Victor Perez (BEST DRESSED WINNER) SNYDER: “Classic with a twist. I love how Victor layers, always selecting a sweater that enables the polo to show, a detail to which many other players are oblivious.” SZOSTAK: “This is the epitome of understated elegance. Less is always more in my book. Not to favour a fellow Frenchman, but Victor clearly knows what works for him and sticks to it.” O’LAUGHLIN: “Quiet luxury. parents, and you do not have to stress about what he will be wearing.” JONES: “He makes very simple outfits feel expensive.” HACKEL: “Owns everything he wears with the confidence of his demeanour. WHAT PLAYERS ARE WEARING is a topic that’s getting discussed more in the media. Many months in advance, apparel brands plan what their paid am- bassadors will don each day of the major tournaments. Some pros are highly in- volved in this decision-making, and others less so. Depending on their clothing deals, many have carte blanche to wake up and put on whatever they feel like. The game has a history of famously sharp dressers – Hall of Famers like Wal- ter Hagen, Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Chi Chi Rodriguez and Seve Ballesteros quickly come to mind, but so do golfers like Calvin Peete, Steve Elkington and Jesper Parnevik. Who is carrying on the tradition best today? To select seven player finalists and crown Golf Digest’s “Best Dressed on Tour” for 2025, we assembled a panel of five judges with extensive experience in the world of fash- ion inside and outside of golf. The debates were caustic at times, including one memorable outburst in the early rounds: “Too many of these guys are boring, unkempt and without any panache. Most need a sitdown and talking-to!” To be sure, any such conversations will be private. But the seven players here, includ- ing our overall winner, Victor Perez, openly offer dapper direction for us all.
