And Now, You Can, Too! DISNEY WORLD USES SONANCE
At BLG Environmental, we often pride ourselves on doing every aspect of your landscaping project, from designing to planting. No matter how big your project may be, our team wants you to experience your perfect outdoor paradise every step of the way. So, when clients ask us to install outdoor speakers into their landscape, we’re more than happy to help! We’ve searched high and low for the best, most reliable products to suit your outdoor audio needs — and nobody beats Sonance’s outdoor speakers.
This month, we’re excited to introduce the Sonance Patio Series™, a new line of award-winning outdoor speakers that we’ll be offering for all of our clients who want complete control of their landscape’s audio experience. There are a few reasons why you should consider having expertly engineered speakers for your outdoor space. For one, outdoor speakers perform completely differently from indoor speakers. Audio is perceived through invisible frequencies in the air, so most indoor speakers are designed to allow sound waves to bounce off of nearby walls and toward you with perfect clarity. However, open air makes
Hiya, newsletter pals! It’s Gavin. Have you ever built your own dam? I have! In fact, if you ever need to build a dam, my guys and I can take care of you. I’ve even learned from the best dam engineers on the entire North American continent: Colorado beavers. HOW I BECAME A DAM ENGINEER GAVIN’S GUYS
structural integrity through the winter, and even provide food!
If I were a woodland creature, I’d check into a beaver lodge. It has room service — that’s basically a luxury hotel stay.
You might be wondering what my beaver obsession is all about. Recently, our family took a vacation to Colorado, and it was a TON of fun. We spent so much time by the water, and I got to see beavers doing what they do best! It might seem silly to try and copy a beaver, but I ask myself, why waste nature’s best engineering master class? I knew it was time to get to work myself!
Did you know that beaver dams are called “lodges”? There’s a good reason: Beaver dams are built like luxury resorts. If you’ve ever seen
“The Irishman,” they’re the Frank Sheeran of the animal kingdom — they paint houses and do their own carpentry! (I haven’t seen the movie myself, but I’ve heard that’s what he does in it.) Beavers weave wooden sticks and collect moss and mud to create multifunctional architecture. Their lodges divert water, house the beaver’s family, maintain warmth and
Luckily, our cabin was surrounded by rivers, and the mountains and forest gave me plenty of branches, sticks, moss, and mud to work with. For weeks, I worked hard every day to create my own dams. It was my hope that, one day, even a beaver would want to live in it! I spent so long choosing the tastiest looking sticks for any size beaver family, including small sticks for the baby beavers. We left Colorado at the end of June, but I left behind a village of dams for beavers to live in. Between you and me, the beavers could form their own state with the amount of housing I created for them. I still wonder if a beaver ever decided to inhabit one of my dams, but one thing is for sure … if you need a professional dam created with sticks, mud, and moss, I’m your guy!
