Holes to mount blocks to room wall
Cutout for baseboard trim
Textured/Tactile Walls are mounted to a room wall via 2”x 2” mounting blocks that need to be fastened to the room wall first. The unit is shipping with the three mounting blocks attached inside.
1.
Position the Textured Wall or Tactile Loopie Wall against the room wall (with bottom resting on the floor), where the unit is to be located. Lightly make a pencil mark on the room wall where it meets the edge of the Textured/Tactile Wall (Mark “A” on the diagram right). Also lightly make a pencil mark on the room wall that aligns with the screw holes on the top and sides of Textured/Tactile Wall. (Mark “B” on the diagram right). Move the Textured/Tactile Wall away from the room wall. Redraw the lines from Step #2 offset by ½ inch. See Mark “C” on the diagram to the right. This ½” offset allows for the thickness of side and top panels of the Textured/Tactile Wall. Remove the 2”x2” mounting blocks from the unit. Align the mounting block with Mark “ C ” and Mark “B” as shown in the diagram. Mark on the wall, the location of the holes that mount the blocks to the room wall. Use the appropriate wall anchors to fasten the mounting blocks to the room wall. For DRYW ALL use #8 x 2 ½” sheet metal screws with Zinc EZ Anchor and for MASONRY use 3/16” x 2 ¾” Tap Con (drill 5/32” pilot hole. Reposition the Textured/Tactile Wall over the mounting blocks. Attach the Textured/Tactile Wall with the screws removed in Step #5.
