FDA’s Produce Safety Rule In promulgating the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) established the Standards for the Growing, Harvesting, Packing and Holding of Produce for Human Consumption or, as it is commonly called, the Produce Safety Rule. The Produce Safety Alliance (PSA) Grower Training Course is one way to satisfy the FDA’s Produce Safety Rule requirement outlined in § 112.22(c) that at least one supervisor or responsible party for your farm must have successfully completed food safety training at least equivalent to that received under standardized curriculum recognized as adequate by the FDA. AgSafe and Western Growers are hosting several courses in 2018.

Listeria Monocytogenes Intervention & Control Workshop FOR: Packinghouse or fresh-cut operation’s quality assurance, food safety, sanitation, production, operations, maintenance and/or engineering staff member Western Growers has partnered with United Fresh and PMA to offer this workshop.
