Les Cyclones subissent un premier revers

L’équipe de football les Cyclones de l’École secondaire catholique d’Embrun ont es- suyé leur première défaite aux mains des Patriotes de La Citadelle de Cornwall. L’équipe a subi un blanchissage de 12-0 vendredi, à domicile. Les Patriotes ont ainsi consolidé leur première position au classe- ment de la Ligue de football du CSDCEO (LFC). De leur côté, les Cyclones présentent maintenant une fiche de deux victoires et une défaite. Ils ont marqué 63 points et en ont accordé 19 au total. Les Cyclones oc- cupent le deuxième rang de la LFC avec quatre points amassés.L’équipe d’Embrun accueillera les Dynamos de Casselman, ce vendredi, dans un dernier affrontement en saison régulière avant le début de la finale. Dans l’autre match de la LFC, les Couguars de l’École secondaire L’Escale de Rockland ont défait les Kodiaks par la marque de 13-6. Pour leur part, les Patriotes de La Citadelle affronteront les Kodiaks de l’École secon- daire catholique régionale de Hawkesbury.

The first regional trophy for junior girls soccer in the Upper Canada school district goes to Russell Public School. The First Annual Upper Canada Cup Soc- cer Championships Oct. 21 saw Russell’s en- try in the junior girls division take the title in a 3-0 blowout against East Front Public School. The boys junior championship di- vision finished with Caldwell Street Pub- lic School clipping Eamer’s Corners Public School 1-0 by the final whistle.
