A Holy War: While former heavyweight king George Foreman was initially mocked for returning to boxing following a 10-year layoff, the legendary Texan power- puncher posted 24 straight wins and was considered a legitimate threat by the time he faced undisputed champion Evander Holyfield in April 1991. While Holyfield, 28, was undefeated and 14 years younger, the Atlanta- based warrior had moved up from cruiserweight and was almost 50 pounds lighter than his opponent. Sound familiar? Holyfield, like Usyk did against Fury, used his speed and smarts to offset the size and strength of the bigger man to claim a hard-fought 12-round decision in Atlantic City.
