Prospectors’ Tent The Prospectors’ Tent will feature independent prospectors or early-exploration projects displaying their mineral prospects and discoveries. This will be a space to feature displays, maps, or photographs, rock samples and drill core, and give conference attendees a chance to see early-stage properties with potential throughout Alaska. This exhibit draws attendees to the conference to see early-stage properties with potential while further promoting interest and investment in explo - ration across Alaska. Providing a venue for prospec - tors to share their discoveries is an important oppor - tunity that may lead to new discoveries, prospects, and partnerships in Alaska. The Prospectors’ Tent exhibit will occur Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 8-9, in the Trade Show. The exhibit will be on the trade show floor in the Dena’ina Center.
Poster Session Students and professionals interested in presenting sci - entific research and technology with respect to mineral ex - ploration, engineering, operations, economics, reclamation, environment, and other subjects pertinent to the mining in - dustry are invited to present posters at the 2022 AMA Con - vention. The Poster Session will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8 on the second floor of the Dena’ina Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Each poster will be provided a 4-foot by 8-foot freestanding display board. Poster session participants should be avail - able to answer questions at their displays during breaks be - tween Technical Sessions on Tuesday, Nov. 8. AMA encour - ages posters to be displayed throughout the convention and removed by the end of the Technical Sessions on Thursday afternoon. The presenting author of an accepted poster ab - stract will receive complimentary convention registration. All abstracts will go through an AMA review process prior to acceptance. Please note that abstracts of a commercial sales nature will be declined for the poster session, and the author will be encouraged to pursue a tradeshow booth or core shack display.
