porodici Roj / New battle in the Roy family Brajan Koks, Džeremi Strong i Kiran Kalkin jure „Emija“ u kategoriji najboljeg glumca u dramskoj seriji / Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin are all in the running for the Emmy in the category of Lead Actor in a Drama Series
„NASLEDNICI“ SU ODUVA- LI NOMINACIJE ZA „EMI“? Da, da, stvarno šokantno! Svima omi- ljena mračna satira HBO-a nad- mašila je samu sebe sa čak 27 pri- znanja, ali i uspela da uradi nešto se nikada ranije nije desilo – tri glumca iz iste serije osvojila su nominacije u istoj kategoriji, za najboljeg glavnog glumca. Seri- ja je pokupila 14 glumačkih no- minacija, a Brajan Koks, Džeremi Strong i Kiran Kalkin će ukrstiti mačeve i saznati ko je bio najbolji. Tu je i Sara Snuk, naravno, koja će se boriti u ženskoj kategoriji. Ipak, neki kažu da nominacija Brajana Koksa možda nije fer jer je (upozorenje na spojler) Logan Roj umro u trecoj epizodi posled- nje sezone. U prethodnim sezo- nama Logan je bio u svakoj epi- zodi; njegova dominantna fizička pojava bila je sastavni deo serije. Ali onda se u četvrtoj i poslednjoj sezoni nedodirljivom medijskom mogulu za koga publika i braca i sestra Roj nikada nisu mislili da ce umreti – desi upravo to. Glum- ci koji igraju Rojevu decu dobili su prostor da rašire svoja meta- forička glumačka krila bez njego- vog grandioznog prisustva. Da li će im to pomoći kad je nagrada u pitanju, videćemo nešto kasnije nego što smo očekivali. Naime, dodela je pomerena sa 18. sep- tembra na 15. januar zbog štraj- ka glumaca i scenarista koji je pa- ralisao Holivud.
SUCCESSION HAS SWEPT THE EMMY NOMINATIONS! Oh yes, it’s such a shock! Everyone’s fa- vourite dark HBO satire has outdone itself with a whopping 27 nomina- tions, but has also managed to do something unprecedented: three ac- tors in the same series winning nom- inations for the best lead actor award in the same category. The show picked up 14 nominations for acting awards, while Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin will duel it out and dis- cover who’s the best. There’s also Sa- rah Snook, of course, who will com- pete in the lead actress category. Some critical voices are nonethe- less suggesting that it perhaps isn’t fair that Brian Cox has been nominat- ed, because (spoiler alert!) Logan Roy was killed off in the third episode of the final season. Logan had appeared in every episode of the previous sea- sons; his dominant physical presence was an integral part of the series. But then, in the fourth and final season, this untouchable media mogul, who both audiences and the Roy siblings thought would never die — did pre- cisely that. The actors playing Roy’s children suddenly had room to spread their metaphorical acting wings with- out his major presence. We will find out whether that will help them when it comes to the award, though slight- ly later than expected. The ceremony has been postponed, from 18 th Sep- tember to 15 th January, due to the actors’ and screenwriters’ strike that has paralysed Hollywood.
