AIR SERBIA’S INAUGURAL FLIGHT TO TIANJIN WE’RE FLYING TO CHINA
A WIDE-BODY A330-200 AIRCRAFT FROM AIR Serbia’s long-haul fleet will be deployed for flights along this route. Belgrade-Tianjin flights will ope- rate on Fridays and have an average flight time of 10 hours, with the return flights operating on Sun- days and lasting an average of 12 hours. An official departure ceremony for the first fli- ght was attended by Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić, Construction, Transportation and Infra- structure Minister Goran Vesić, Tourism and Youth Minister Husein Memić, Ambassador of the Peo- ple’s Republic of China to Serbia H.E. Chen Bo, as well as media representatives. “We’ve opened a new chapter in our operati- ons by enabling our passengers to fly directly to China, and we believe it will make their travels to this faraway destination much easier. For some ti- me, Belgrade has already provided good conne- ctivity of the broader Balkan region to numerous worldwide destinations. And it’s now also possi- ble to fly from Belgrade to China. Our airline is one of the few in Europe to offer direct flights to this Asian country. We are now flying to Tianjin, and in future we hope that we will be flying to other im- portant Chinese cities as well,” said Air Serbia CEO Jiří Marek. By establishing its direct route to China, Air Serbia has provided its passengers with good connections, via Belgrade, to destinations su- ch as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Oslo, Paris, Stock- holm, Frankfurt, Ljubljana, Prague, Venice, Valen- cia, Zagreb and other destinations in its growing network. Flights are available for purchase via the Air Serbia mobile application and website. At 2.10pm on 9 th December, Air Serbia’s inaugural JU702 flight to Tianjin departed from Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, thus re-establishing the national airline’s direct flights to China after a break of 22 years
