Oasis is a Multimodality Brain Quantification software application that uses affine registration to the Montreal Neurological Institute atlas and provides quantitative/qualitative displays and comparison to multiple normative databases to measure the extent and severity of defects in over 100 functional areas of the brain. Currently validated with FDG. Offers Right to Left comparison. Uses templates for PET and SPECT while using automatic affine registration, with manual adjustments available. Patient’s brain is registered to the Montreal Neurological Institute’s atlas of functional regions. Patient brain is compared to 20 normal subjects closest in age. Five normalization methods available. 3D surface rendering display of results, with color-coded standard deviation from normal databases. Slice display with color-coded standard deviation derived from a database of normal subjects. In-depth quantification is provided, including Z-scores for Hypo, Healthy, and Hyper regions, defects in functional areas, and Right/Left asymmetry index, which can be exported to Excel. Fusion with MRI data; if the patient does not have an MR series, a template is used. The creation of normative databases based on normal subjects acquired at your site at no additional charge.
