Ovekovečen u „Mulen ru- žu“, na prelazu iz 20. veka bio je prepun boemskih umetnika i pesnika koji su že- leli da uhvate jedinstveni duh sveta. In a quiet corner of Montmartre Montmartre has always been home to the ro- mantic at heart. At the turn of the 20 th centu- ry – as immortalised in the film Moulin Rouge! – this district was filled with Bohemian artists and poets looking to capture the unique spir- it of the world. Parts of the neighbourhood (like the steps of the Sacré-Coeur) are today chock-a-block with tourists, but you don’t have to wander far along its narrow, cobbled streets to find a quiet spot for two.
In front of the Opéra Garnier It doesn’t get more romantic than a night at the opera, but you don’t necessarily have to fork out for a ticket. Not only is the Opéra Gar- nier breathtaking enough to merit taking your loved one in your arms, local musicians are usu- ally playing for all those gathered on the front steps. Here you’ve got majestic architecture, gilded statues, live music, and Paris rushing by in every direction: the perfect combination!
