Počinje filmska godina Portreti Sezarije, Depa i Dajane Peti festival dokumentarnog filma DOK #5 od 2. do 5. februara u Beogradu F estival koji kalendarski otvara novu film- sku godinu u Beogradu publici već pet go- dina nudi najnovija ostvarenja iz oblasti dokumentarnog filma. Program čine pa- žljivo odabrani dokumentarci, a mi vam donosimo preporuku kako da provedete filmski fe- bruar u Beogradu ušuškani u jedan od najlepših be- ogradskog bioskopa – mts Dvoranu. Festival će otvoriti ostvarenje „Moj drug Tomi“ mladog kanadskog autora našeg porekla Nema Stan- kovića. Ovo veoma duhovito ostvarenje prikazuje sek- sualno sazrevanje nevinog 40-godišnjeg muškarca i prati njegovo filmsko putovanje sa prijateljima kroz nekoliko gradova u Americi. „Džoni Dep: Kralj kulta“ je film u kome ćete, osim jednog od najpoznatijih glumaca današnjice, videti i filmske zvezde poput Penelope Kruz, Tima Bartona, Džefrija Raša… Džoni Dep, poznat po svo- jim ekscentričnim i nekonvencionalnim glumač- kim odabirima, smatra se jednim od najsvestrani- jih glumaca u Holivudu. Na koji način osvaja srca miliona, pogledajte u najnovijem dokumentarcu o njegovom životu i radu. Dokumentarno ostvarenje o dobitnici „Gremija“ Sezariji Evori, uz dosad neobjavljivane snimke, prati borbu čuvene muzičke dive i slika nežni portret au- torke svetskog hita „Sodade“. Ovaj film prikazuje že- nu koja je zauvek ostala verna sebi. Dokumentarac „Princeza“ oslanja se na nedav- no otkrivena svedočanstva i retko viđene arhivske snimke princeze Dajane. I nakon 25 godina od nje- ne tragične smrti život princeze Dajane i dalje oku- pira medije i fascinira filmske autore. Premijerno pri- kazano na prošlogodinjem „Sandens festivalu“, ovo ostvarenje prikazuje, rasvetljava i daje nov uvid u Dajanin život i prikazuje današnji stav javnosti pre- ma monarhiji. Još jedan dokumentarac koji vas neće ostaviti ravnodušnim je i „Lov na kitove“. Film koji je privu- kao pažnju publike na svetskim festivalima govori o životu kitova na Farskim ostrvima i njihovoj tra- gičnoj sudbini uprkos protestima udruženja za pra- va životinja. Launching the film year Portraits of Cesária, Depp and Diana The fifth edition of the festival of documentary film, DOK #5, in Belgrade from 2 nd to 5 th February T he festival that, in calendar terms, opens the new film year in Belgrade has been of- fering the public the latest creations in the field of documentary film for the last five years. With a programme comprising care- fully selected documentaries, here we bring you a recom- mendation for enjoying February in Belgrade through film, snuggled up in one of the city’s most beautiful cinemas: mts Hall. The festival opens with a screening of My Friend Tommy, by young Belgrade-born Canadian filmmak- er Nem Stanković. This very humorous work depicts the sexual maturing of a 40-year-old virgin, cinemat- ically following a journey with friends that leads him through several U.S. cities. Johnny Depp: King of Cult presents not only one of the world’s most famous contemporary actors, but also other major stars, such as Penelope Cruz, Tim Burton, Geoffrey Rush et al. Known for his eccentric and unconventional acting choices, Depp is considered as being among Hollywood’s most versatile actors. In this latest documentary about his life and work, you will see just how he wins over the hearts of millions of fans of film. The documentary on Grammy-winner Cesária Évo- ra includes previously unpublished footage as it fol- lows the struggles and successes of this famous diva and paints a tender portrait of the author of world- wide hit song Sodade. This film depicts a woman who always stayed true to herself. The Princess draws on recently revealed testimo- ny and rare archival footage of Princess Diana. De- spite 25 years having passed since her tragic demise, the life of Lady Di continues to occupy the media and fascinate filmmakers. This documentary, which pre- miered at last year’s Sundance Festival, depicts, illu- minates and provides insight into Diana’s life, as well as presenting the attitude of today’s public towards the British monarchy. Another documentary that’s sure to move you is The Islands and the Whales. This film, which has at- tracted the attention of audiences at festivals around the world, portrays the life of whales in the waters of the Faroe Islands and the tragic fate that they face de- spite the protests of animal rights activists.
