CCI Memberships

Professional Membership. Condominium Managers are included in this group and the benefits of membership belong to the named professional only. Perhaps you have managers who are not Professional Members of CCI and as we need to grow to meet the demands of the ever thriving condominium community, it would be helpful to include the fact that your Professional Managers are also supporting CCI. Here is the link for both options for NEWmembership forms that are fillable. Is your Condominium a Member of CCI? This membership category is open to all Condominium Corporations. Each Corporation designates a director to be their "member representative" to receive all notices and communications from CCI. That person can also vote on behalf of the Corporation. The membership and benefits are shared with the owners of the condominium corporation membership. The listing of Condominium Corporation Memberships for the period July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022 is included on the website. Make sure your corporation is included to show your owners you are serious about the responsibilities you have assumed as a director. At the same time, education among owners is recommended, so they may develop a clear understanding of their responsibilities as a member of the community. Knowledge about their lifestyle choice can be a pleasant one when understanding of the complexities of securing their investment is known. Growing Your Management Business The Auditor General ’ s 2020 Annual Report highlighted one particularly interesting facet of the ever - growing condominium industry in Ontario. At July 31, 2020, there were 11,354 registered condominiums in Ontario; however, the report failed to point out there are only 3,369 licensed condominium managers. The growth in condominium communities right here in London is undeniable. Understanding there will be retirements or other reasons that the number of managers may shrink, this question is important. Will there be enough managers to provide specialized condominium management to the growing responsibilities that volunteer directors assume and as the number of corporations continue to grow?

We are always pleased to welcome new members to our CCI family. The continuing growth in condominium development demonstrates the genuine need for expansion in education and specialty for professions that can provide goods and services. Building and Supporting Businesses Managers often have preferred suppliers and trades who provide exceptional services. Growth in this industry can be bolstered by the expanding condominium community. CCI is an excellent connection and resource to profile their expertise and build their businesses. We all need to support our local companies, just as they support our communities in so many ways, including the services they provide. It is important they remain in business and continue to provide the valuable services they do, right here in our own city. Sharing Resources Members who serve as directors of condominiums across the region are building on their knowledge to best serve their communities. Under regulations to the Condominium Act, the Condominium Authority of Ontario (CAO) is responsible for providing mandatory training for active condominium directors in Ontario. This director training program is available at no extra cost for directors, owners and other members of Ontario ’ s condominium communities. It should be noted that attending CCI education events cannot be applied to the CAO mandatory director training legal requirements; however, we are confident that the in - depth knowledge and opportunities to ask questions of experts and have discussions on those topics pertinent to your particular condominium issues can be relevant and valuable.
