J amandu i Zambužo stižu u prestonicu Sr- bije sa iskrenim oduševljenjem i željom da prirede koncertni spektakl za pamće- nje. Svaka pesma na ovom koncertu pri- čaće o ljubavi, prošlosti, tuzi, veri, sudbi- ni, o isprepletanoj istoriji dve zemlje. Jamandu Kosta i Antonio Zambužo koriste zajedničko nasleđe i jezik i spajaju portugalski fado sa južnobrazilskom muzi- kom bosa nova. Antonio Zambužo je jedan od najvećih savreme- nih umetnika, autora i izvođača portugalske muzike i jedan od njenih najistaknutijih ambasadora u svetu. Njegova muzika je prvo zasnovana na portugalskoj tradiciji fada, zatim je inkorporirao uticaje brazilskih pesama u svoju muziku, a posebno bosa nove, čime je srušio granice i stvorio jedinstven stil i novi ciklus u portugalskoj muzici. U predstvaljanju ove muzičke inovacije u Beogradu će mu se pridružiti Jamandu Kosta, koji se smatra jednim od najvećih umetnika na gitari sa sedam žica i koji oduševljava publiku širom sveta impresivnom veštinom i ogromnom strašću. „Guitar Art Festival“ biće 24. put održan od 10. do 14. maja pod sloganom „Creation“. Pripremlje- no je 10 koncerata na više lokacija u Beogradu, pa će grad još jednom postati gitarska prestonica. Pred početak prestižnog „Guitar Art Festivala“ razgova- rali smo sa Zambužom i pitali ga za početak kako je došlo do saradnje sa Kostom. – Upoznali smo se 2008. godine, kada sam prvi put nastupao u Brazilu i od tada smo dobri prijatelji. Sve ostalo došlo je spontano. Kakva je veza fada i bosa nove? – Fado je tradicionalni muzički žanr koji omo- gućava različite improvizacije na jednoj muzičkoj os- novi. Reči pesme su najbitnije. Izvodi se na portugal- skoj i klasičnoj gitari. Bosa nova je nastala u Brazilu krajem pedesetih godina prošlog veka, a odlikuje se laganim samba ritmom i impresionističkim harmo- nijama. Najviše nas razlikuju same pesme koje peva- mo, ali i zvuk. Niste rođeni u Lisabonu, ali ste u tom gra- du dugo živeli. Povedite nas njegovim uli- cama u potrazi za fadom. Pravac Alfama? – Trebalo bi da posetite tipična naselja kao što su Alfama ili Bairo Alto, ali nećete pogrešiti gde god da krenete. Lisabon je veoma lep grad, a fado je svuda, teče njegovim ulicama. Jeste li već bili u Beogradu i kakva su vam očekivanja? – Ovo će biti moj prvi put. Nadam se da ću imati vremena da proštetam gradom, ali više od svega se nadam da ćete zavoleti muziku koju vam donosimo. „Guitar Art Festival“ je način na koji mogu da prene- sem moju viziju muzike različitoj publici. I uvek je za- dovoljstvo ponovo nastupati sa Jamanduom. Nadam se da ćete uživati.

C osta and Zambujo arrive in the Serbian capital with genuine enthusiasm and a de- sire to hold a concert spectacle worth re- membering. Every song performed at this concert will address the topics of love, the past, sadness, faith, fate and the intertwined histo- ries of the two countries. Yamandu and Antonio uti- lise their common heritage and language, fusing Por- tuguese fado and southern Brazil’s bossa nova style music. Zambujo is one of the greatest contem- porary artists, authors and performers of Portuguese music, serving as one of its most prominent world ambassadors. His music was initially based on Portugal’s fado tradition, af- ter which he began incorporating influences of Brazilian songs into his music, particularly the bossa nova style, thereby tearing down bounda- ries and creating a unique style and a new cycle in Portuguese music. He will be joined in pre- senting this musical innovation in Belgrade by fellow guitarist Costa, who is considered one of the world’s greatest seven-string guitarists and who delights audiences around the world with his exceptional talent and huge passion. This year’s 24 th edition of the Guitar Art Festival will take place from 10 th to 14 th May under the slogan “Creation”. A total of 10 con- certs have been prepared at several locations across Belgrade, meaning that the city will once again become the world’s guitar capital for the duration of the festival. Prior to the start of this prestigious festival, we caught up with Zambu- jo and started by asking him how he ended up col- laborating with Yamandu Costa. - We met in 2008, when I performed in Brazil for the first time, and have been good friends ever since. Everything else came spontaneously. ous improvisations on one musical foundation. The words of the song are the most important element. It is performed on Portuguese and classical guitar. Bossa nova emerged in Brazil in the late 1950s and is characterised by a gentle samba rhythm and im- pressionistic harmonies. What differentiates us the most are the poems that we sing, but also the sound. You weren’t born in Lisbon, but you spent a long time living in the city. Lead us through its streets in search of fado. Are we heading to the Alfama neighbour- hood? - You should visit typical neighbourhoods like Alfama or Bairro Alto, but you won’t go wrong wherever you head. Lisbon is a very beautiful city and fado is everywhere, flow- ing through its streets. Have you ever been to Belgrade before and what are your expectations? - This will be my first time. I hope that I will have time to walk around the city, but I hope more than anything that you will love the music we are bringing you. The Guitar Art Festival is a way for me to impart my vision of music to different audiences. And it’s always a pleasure to perform with Yamandu again. I hope you will enjoy it.
