SENSORY AIDS
Sensory floor panels Sensory paths stimulate sensory receptors. When children follow the path made of natural materials, sensory stimuli of diverse intensities are processed by the nervous system. Different textures provide many physical sensations: prickly, soft, hard, cold etc. By proposing additional activities while on the path, like jumping or changing the height, children can train proprioception. Exercises which are properly prepared and adjusted to the child’s age will help to develop all muscle groups and postural reflexes. They will also regulate muscle tension and train the sense of balance by affecting all motor functions.
