Stari grad Stari grad i Murat se u su- štini povezuju i stapaju jedan u drugi. Ovde cete pronaci najau- tentičnije lokacije za razgledanje. Otkricete uske ulice sa zgradama ukrašenim balkonima od kamena, kovanog gvožđa i šarenim kapci- ma. Trg Merkantile, koji se sma- tra najvažnijim trgom u Bariju, nalazi se u centru Starog grada. U blizini je i Bazilika San Niko- la koja izgleda kao impozantna tvrđava. Kastelo i Porto Vekio Jedna od prvih stvari koju cete primetiti je koliko je dobro očuvana spoljašnjost zamka, s ob- zirom na to da je star skoro 900 godina. Porto Vekio ili Stara lu- ka je mesto odakle lokalni riba- ri odlaze u plavim čamcima koje cete videti širom regiona Pulje da ulove svežu ribu. Ćaskanje ribara je zabavno samo po sebi, ali luka je takođe odlično mesto za kafi- cu, šetnju i uživanje u pogledu.
Castelo and Porto Vecchio One of the first things you’ll no- tice about the Norman-Swabian Cas- tle is how well the exterior has weath- ered the years, given that it’s nearly 900 years old. The Porto Vecchio (Old Port) marks the point from which lo- cal fishermen head out to catch fresh local fish in the blue boats that you’ll see throughout the Puglia region. Just a simple walk through the area, to hear the chatter of the local fishermen, is entertaining in itself, but this is also a great spot to grab a coffee, take a stroll and enjoy the view. Focaccia and Lungomare The crispy crust and doughy in- side are combined with the delicate taste of tomato. Stop by Panificio Fiore on Strada Palazzo di Città for some of the best Focaccia in Bari Vecchia. But, in order to better understand the city and its connection to the water, take a stroll along the seafront promenade. You’ll hear the crooning of seagulls, inhale the salty air and relax to azure views of the Adriatic.

Old Town The Old Town and the Murat district both essentially connect and blend into one another. This is where you’ll find the most histor- ic and authentic sightseeing loca- tions and discover narrow streets lined with buildings adorned with stone and wrought-iron balconies and colourful shutters. Considered the most important square in Bari, Piazza Mercantile sits at the very centre of the Old Town. Close by is the Basilica of Saint Nicholas that resembles an imposing fort.
