Dunav Film Fest FESTIVAL
The 6 th edition of the International Dunav Film Fest will unfold from 22 nd to 27 th August in the so-called Small Town (inner city) of Smederevo Fortress. This celebration of film that has been plac- ing Smederevo on the map of ma- jor festival destinations for the past six years will provide premiere screenings of the most significant cinematography achievements in the Danube region. Under an open sky, audiences will once again be able to enjoy more than 30 film productions divided between four programming units at four attractive Smederevo locations. This 6 th edition of the festival will also be marked by no- table achievements of major festivals, award-winning films of affirmed direc- tors, as well as works by young filmmak- ers only just embarking on their career journeys. This festival has a competitive character, with each year’s jury com- prising relevant figures from the film world who award the Dunavska Lađa [Danube Ship] Award for the best film in the competitive selection. The fes- tival’s main location will this year once again be the Small Town of Smedere- vo Fortress.

Šesto izdanje Međunarodnog filmskog festivala „Dunav film fest“ biće održano od 22. do 27. avgusta u Malom gradu Smederevske tvrđave. Praznik filma, koji već šest godina stavlja Smederevo na mapu fe- stivalskih prestonica, premijerno će prikazati najznačajnija ostvarenja podunavske kinematografije. Pu- blika će pod vedrim nebom ponovo uživati u preko trideset ostvarenja podeljenih u četiri programske celine na četiri atraktivne lokacije u Smederevu. I ovo, šesto izdanje obeležiće zapažena ostvarenja ve- likih festivala, nagrađivani i filmovi priznatih reditelja, kao i filmovi mladih autora čije karijere su tek na po- četku. Festival je takmičarskog karaktera i žiri svake godine čine relevantni filmski radnici koji će dodeliti nagradu „Dunavska lađa“ za najbolji film u takmičarskoj selekciji. „Darko Rundek & Ekipa“ održaće koncert u Botaničkoj bašti u Beogradu 26. i 27. avgu- sta i vratiti se tamo gde su prethodne dve godine u isto vreme beležili trijumf. Velikan regionalne scene sa svojim sastavom je na tim nastupima, uz euforičnu atmosferu, po- častio obožavaoce najvećim hitovima što iz perioda „Haustora“, što iz samostalne kari- jere. Darko Rundek je inače jedan od najvećih aktivista za zaštitu životne sredine, pa ne čudi što su nastupi u Botaničkoj bašti za njega posebno značajni. Darko Rundek & Ekipa will hold back-to-back concerts at Belgrade’s Jevremovac Botan- ical Garden on 26 th and 27 th August, thereby returning to the spot where they gave tri- umphant performances over the previous two years at the same time. Together with his band, and in an atmosphere of euphoria, this great of the region’s music scene treated fans to renditions of his biggest hits, some from the period of rock band Haustor and oth- ers from the period of his solo career. Rundek is also among the region’s most prominent environmental protection activists, so it comes as no surprise that performances at the Botanical Garden have special significance for him.
