PARIZ PARIS

Svima koji dođu ovde preporučujem da što više šetaju, od jednog kraja do drugog I recommend that everyone who comes here walk as much as possible, from one neighbourhood to the next

T here are many reasons why I love Paris, but perhaps I love it most because of all the sur- prises it gives me. e contrasts of its every part, never monotonous. It surprises me every day and somehow, wherever I go, re- gardless of how much there are things that I like less (because nowhere is perfect), it continues to be my fa- vourite city that I wouldn’t change. Paris remains Par- is for me and I’m extremely grateful that I live here. And I love it the most at night, after 10pm, when I return home from filming or an evening out. e most beautiful part is around the Louvre, towards Orsay, over the bridges... I cross those bridges, wander the streets, observe beautifully illuminated buildings and everything seems bigger and more beautiful. And with that the si- lence is even greater. I indulge in enjoying the city of lights and love. I recommend that everyone who comes here walk as much as possible, from one neighbourhood to the next, in order to really get a feel for the vibe of the city and to see as many things as possible. ere’s nothing bet- ter than heading to a current exhibition (Mucha at the Grand Palais), which have been added to all permanent exhibitions of the great museums of Paris. For lovers of sketching, I recommend they draw Paris from beside the Seine or choose a good spot in Orsay and explore the beauty of the human body. And then take a walk through the record shops of the 11 th arrondissement and the vin- tage shops that are everywhere. Enjoyment from break- fast to dinner. Because Paris is also a paradise for shop- ping and gastronomy. Or simply try to do what those of us who live in Paris

do. We buy wine, cheese and some nibbles from the shop, then sit by the Seine after 5pm, with company. Parisians are constantly on the hunt for a new exhibition, but also for vintage shops that always have something for every- one. Every neighbourhood has something unique and somehow differs from the others. Being with friends be- side the Seine and eating, walking, reading on the metro, going to the parks (Buttes-Chaumont, Luxembourg Gar- den etc.), walking along the Canal Saint-Martin... I love film and therefore also events related to film. And La Cinémathèque Française, which is packed with treasures and interesting exhibitions, is one of my favour- ite destinations. I really like the wine bars of the 10 th or 11 th arrondissements, where there are fewer tourists and you’ll mostly encounter Parisians. ese are small estab- lishments with just a few tables, where they mainly serve cheese and cured meats with wine. If you are a fan of Leb- anese food, I suggest L’As du Fallafel in the Marais dis- trict, where you can take away falafel in a bun, and near- by is the city’s oldest food market, the Enfants Rouges covered market, where you can find all sorts for lunch. Whatever you choose to do, you won’t go wrong. Par- is will surprise and delight you time and again. So, walk its streets and drink it in with all the senses.
