AIR SERBIA CARRIED 335,363 PA SSENGERS on its scheduled and charter flights over the course of May, thus exceeding the number of 300,000 passengers carried du- ring that month for the first time since the national airline began operating under its current name. This means that the Serbian flag carrier had an 83% increase compared to the same month of the previous year. This also represents a 66% increase compa- red to the pre-pandemic, record-bre- aking year of 2019. Via Belgrade Ni- kola Tesla Airport, as its main hub, and airports in Niš and Kraljevo, Air Serbia operated 3,708 flights in May 2023, which is a 69% increase on May 2022, and a 48% increase compared to the same month of 2019. “Our company achieved a new historic milestone in May. Over 300,000 passengers placed the- ir trust in us during that month, and we are proud of that. For eleven con- secutive months, since July 2022, we have been breaking our own records in terms of the number of passengers carried and flights operated. We have even eclipsed the 2019 figures during these months. Furthermore, we also launched nine new routes this May, including to Chicago, our second de- stination in North America and our third long-haul destination. This is of major significance for us, our passen- gers, and the entire Western Balkan region. We will strive to continue the trend of growing and improving our network in the coming period,” said Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek. The most popular Western Eu- ropean destinations in in May were Zurich, Paris and Rome. When it co- mes to closer destinations beyond the region, Athens and Istanbul we- re the most popular, while Podgorica and Tivat proved to be the most po- pular choices in the region.

ER SRBIJA JE TOKOM MAJA u re- dovnom i čarter-saobraćaju preve- zla 335.363 putnika i tako, prvi put od kada posluje pod sadašnjim ime- nom, premašila broj od 300.000 putnika u tom mesecu. Na taj način srpska nacionalna avio-kompani- ja je ostvarila povećanje od 83 odsto u odnosu na isti mesec prethodne godine. U poređenju sa rekordnom pretpandemijskom 2019. godinom, zabeleženi rezultat predstavlja rast od 66 odsto. Tokom tog meseca više od 300.000 put- nika nam je poklonilo poverenje i po- nosni smo na to. Već jedanaest me- seci zaredom, od jula 2022. godine, obaramo sopstvene rekorde u bro- ju prevezenih putnika i realizovanih letova. Tokom tih meseci prevaziš- li smo čak i rezultate iz 2019. godi- ne. U maju smo dodatno pokrenu- li devet novih linija, od kojih je jedna Čikago, naša druga destinacija u Severnoj Americi, a treća prekoo- keanska. Ona je veoma značajna za nas, naše putnike i čitav region za- padnog Balkana. Trudićemo se da trend rasta i unapređenja naše mre- že nastavimo i u narednom periodu – rekao je Jirži Marek, generalni di- rektor Er Srbije. Najpopularnije destinacije iz mreže Er Srbije tokom maja u za- padnoj Evropi bile su Cirih, Pariz i Rim. Kada je reč o bližim destina- cijama, najtraženije su bile Atina i Istanbul, odnosno Podgorica i Tivat u regionu.
