people and make new friends and connec - tions. AMA is a great organization where people can join and gain a new network of great people who work together daily to achieve our common goals. I appreci - ate that at any time I can reach out to anyone in the AMA family for any help I need with projects I have going on. Ev - eryone is always available and always a pleasure to see and work with! The annu - al conference is my favorite time of year because I get to see and reconnect with so many people I enjoy being around! What do you do for fun? I love fishing, hiking, going to the beach (I grew up on a beach in North Carolina so am a beach girl to the core!), drinking beer with friends on a hot sun - ny Fairbanks day while floating down the Chena! And of course, geologizing is an - other thing I do for fun — it’s great when your job is your fun! Anything else you want to share? I think we should all come together even more as a community and continue to think of new ways we can get the mes - sage across that the world doesn’t work without mining. Alaska is a great place to do business and we can develop resourc - es responsibly and side by side with the things we love most about Alaska.
