Supporting advocacy efforts of trade groups continue to be a priority for the resource development community, and Kinross Alaska is thankful to be a part of that collaboration.

Kinross Alaska is comprised of the Fort Knox mine, Gil mine, and the Manh Choh project. Oper- ating since 1996, the mine has over 700 employees. In 2019 the mine proceeded with the Gilmore life of mine extension project and poured its 8th millionth ounce. The Manh Choh project, a joint venture with ContangoORE, is located on Tetlin tribal land near Tok. The Native Village of Tetlin owns the surface and subsurface rights. The project plans to start producing old in 2024 and is already focusing on optimizing local hires and businesses. Ore will be trucked to Fort Knox for processing, reducing the environmental footprint and need for a tailings fa- cility.
