Beggs and Partners has expanded its branch network to 14 with the opening of a new location featuring a trade counter and bathroom showroom in Antrim. Conveniently located at The Junction retail park, the new branch will offer quality, value and excellent customer service in line with the values of this family-owned plumbing and heating merchant. Neil Bleakly, Group Managing Director, says, “Our continued expansion to 14 locations is a clear signal of our on-going commitment to the plumbing and heating sector in NI and GB. “With eight branches now operating in Northern Ireland, we’re proud to be strengthening our presence and reinforcing our commitment to supporting local tradespeople and retail customers with the products, service and reliability they depend on every day.”
Established in Belfast in 1960, Beggs and Partners now operates trade, retail, commercial heating and contract sanitaryware divisions. A supply chain partner with leading global brands, the business prides itself on its stock-holding capacity and ability to service the needs of customers across budget, timeframe and design expectations. The branch will carry 3,500 lines from Wavin plastic drainage and piping solutions and Ideal, Worcester Bosch and Vaillant boilers to its own-label Instinct bathroom range. Tony Livingston, Group Commercial Director, says, “We hold two months’ stock in every branch which means when plumbers come in, they know they’re going to get what they need.” Antrim Branch Manager Zak Dawson is aiming to quickly establish a strong local presence for the new location, while
maintaining the standards and reputation associated with Beggs and Partners. “In the early stages, my priority is to establish the branch as a visible and trusted name in the area through targeted marketing, community engagement and a consistent, high standard of service,” says Zak. “I want us to become the first point of contact for trade and public customers coming into both sides of our branch, the trade counter and the showroom. “Longer term, I’d like to see the branch grow its market share in Antrim, build lasting relationships, and really establish itself as an important part of the wider Beggs and Partners business.” As well as developing relationships with local tradespeople, the new branch is keen to get involved in the local community, supporting community projects, events and charity initiatives.
