A high level of customer service is at the forefront of Beggs and Partners’ values and a top priority for the team leading its new Antrim branch. Zak Dawson, Antrim Branch Manager, says, “Our customers rely on us not just for products, but for availability, reliability and knowledgeable support. Whether it’s a plumber needing parts quickly to finish a job, or a customer looking for the right bathroom solution, the level of service we provide can make a real difference to their day. “For me, it’s about making sure the team is responsive, well-informed and easy to deal with, so customers know they can depend on us. That includes having the right stock on hand, offering practical advice and building strong relationships with our regular customers.” Zak joined the company in 2017, initially
working in the stores before progressing to roles in trade counter sales, sales estimation and his current role. Working in the stores and on the counter is Owen Murdock, who first joined Beggs and Partners on placement from NRC Ballymena before being appointed as a full-time employee. “Owen will be a crucial cog in this branch,” says Zak. “His ability to multitask will be invaluable to us.” And Mel Gribbon, an experienced hand with more than 35 years in the trade, will be managing the Antrim branch’s bathroom showroom. “Training is a big part of how we operate,” says Zak. “Product knowledge is especially important as our customers rely on us for accurate advice as well as the right products. “Whether it’s plumbing, heating systems or bathroom solutions, the team needs
to be confident in what we’re supplying and able to guide customers in the right direction. “We support that through a mix of in- house training and working closely with our suppliers, so the team stays up to date with new products, technologies and best practices. “For me, it’s about making sure everyone in the branch feels knowledgeable and confident, because that directly translates into better service for our customers.” “For me, it’s about making sure the team is responsive, well-informed and easy to deal with, so customers know they can depend on us.”
