Trianco Activair has boosted its range of efficient, technologically-advanced heat pumps with new R290 high-temperature outdoor and indoor models, available from Dublin-based Davies Group. Offering exceptional fuel savings and significantly reducing the emission of harmful greenhouse gases, Activair is fully controllable via a smart app. With remote monitoring via a built-in 4G data transfer unit, the app offers useful information such as power usage and information codes. Heat pumps are also remotely monitored by Trianco via a built-in sim,
enabling Trianco to assist commissioning and make setting changes remotely as required by installers or customers. Activair high-temperature units use R290 gas, one of the lowest GWP refrigerants available, and produce high flow temperatures, removing any need for boosting the hot water cylinder with an immersion heater to combat legionella. With such high flow temperatures, radiators may also not need to be changed during installation of Activair units.

Activair R290 indoor heat pump The Activair R290 indoor heat pump is an air/water heat pump without an outdoor unit, designed for situations with no space available for housing the outdoor unit, eg apartments without balconies or with limited terraces. Capable of supplying
heating and hot water if fitted with a domestic hot water cylinder, the model is available as a wall-mounted 3.5kW unit or floor-standing 5kW unit. Both heat pumps can also provide air cooling if the property is fitted with fan coils instead of radiators. Floor-standing models have flexible ducting options, while the wall-hung model has top air in and out ducts. On the outside, only two vents are visible. On the inside, it remains a compact and elegant unit with similar dimensions to a domestic appliance.
