There has been & large demand upon the members of the Fishermen's Club for Bible Class teachers in the Sunday schools of the city. The Fishermen's Club (young men) and the Lyceum Club (young women) on Monday and Tuesday nights .continue with increasing interest. Hundreds of young lives are being moulded through the in- strumentality of these classes and the churches and Sunday schools are being en- riched through the devoted lives of these consecrated young men and Women. Mrs. Horton began a .new series of les- sons with the Lyceum Club, using a large chart to illustrate the dispensations. The fall sessions of the Institute opened September 18th. Two weeks of special ad- dresses were enjoyed by large audiences. Dr. W. H. Walker,- Sr., gave ten lectures on the Tabernacle, using a large model. Dr. Walker is an expert on the subject, and his addresses made a deep impression. . Dr. Robert Rennison spoke for several days upon Revelation and Dr. A. B. Prich- ard gave two lectures upon the Church. The regular classes are well attended, a number of new students being enrolled. The teaching force of the Institute has been greatly augmented by the coming to us of Miss Ethel Higgins, who for a number of years was a teacher in the Northfield, Mass., school. Miss Higgins! is splendidly equipped for service, both as a musician and teacher. She joins the forces of our Bible Women and also takes charge of the Mission Study Class on Friday afternoon. We ex- pect the Friday Class to become one of the popular classes of the school. The Fishermen's Club Evangelists have had a fruitful summer's work. Tent meet- ings were held in Orange and Redondo and the results were very good. In Orange 12C young people took a stand for Christ. The town was thoroughly awakened and a com- mendatory letter signed by all of the pas- tors is such that any Evangelists in the. land would be glad to have. They have been invited to return and spend all of next August. Although meetings were held by the band 'in the winter, the invitation to return was cordial and many new recruits wefre made for the Lord's army. Elliott Barrett was the leader. Harry Hill, Chester White, Jessie Martin and Prof. Peckham assisted at different times.. Plans are now in progress for meetings in Santa Barbara and other points. The best thing in connection with these services is the Bible Classes which are organized and maintained after the meetings. EVANGELISTIC MEETINGS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE. Pastors and Churches desiring profitable Evangelistic meetings for the young people should engage the services of the Fisher- men's Club Band. Mr. Elliott Barrett, lead- er. We can promise strong, sane,, spiritual services under the direction of this Band and permanent results. s Thè Musical Department, under direction of Prof. Peckham, is making good progress,
