Welcome We would like to invite you to our 1st Annual Production Sale. Many of you know that we acquired the mature cows and herd bulls from Bata Brothers Simmentals (BBS) in December of 2023. We have our first calving and breeding seasons with the purebred herd under our belt and are excited to bring a strong offering of continued BBS genetics to our first sale. First and foremost, we would like to extend a big thank you to the Bata Brothers for their mentorship throughout the past year as our business mission has evolved. Our experience with cattle runs deep as our family has a 30+ year history of owning and managing commercial feeder cattle prior to our current purebred Simmental herd. We have been utilizing artificial insemination in our herd for over 5 years now and it’s something we will continue to incorporate with the purebred herd. We have come to appreciate the access to superior genetics to proven sires for overall genetic enhancement. While the current offering includes many proven sires utilized heavily by BBS, you may notice a handful of sires not normally in the lineup. Although you may not be familiar with them, we guarantee they’ll work right alongside the tried and true performance genetics you have come to know and love. The well-established BBS genetics will continue to grow and serve as the foundation for generations of Simmental cattle to come on our ranch as well as yours. As Silver Dollar Simmentals bought our cow herd and top heifers in our dispersal it was an easy decision to sell these bulls with them in their 1st annual sale. We thank them for the confidence and carrying on of the genetics we have built over the years. Our ranches are just 5 miles apart, so be sure to come check out all the bulls prior to the sale. The coming two-year-old bulls are a group that we held back as they were too young to sell in last year’s sale. Sired by our top herd sires, elite AI bulls, and very best cows. They were developed with the rest of the bulls last winter, then on grass around the farm this summer. All are virgin bulls, and all have passed their semen test at Golden Valley Vet Clinic prior to the sale. The yearling bulls are the next generation of BBS owned by Mark’s boys.
