We purchased Red Letter from U2 for several reasons – he has a ton of eye appeal with that dark cherry red color, he has lots of length and a little more frame that we wanted to cross on some of our females and the cross has balanced out just as we hoped it would. His dam was an outstanding cow with qualities that we wanted in our replacement females too. He sires calves with lots of grow! Diamond is a bull that a really good friend of mine who is a very astute cattle man found at Duffs and called me and said that I should buy this bull. He had excellent feet with lots of heel, with as much thickness as you can possibly pack into one bull, had that herd bull look and presence about him. So we bought him and he put him on our second calvers for a new genetic cross and have gotten some really nice calves. They are extremly thick, wide-topped calves and have a great herd bull pres- ence to them. Lots of calving ease as well with out sacraficing growth.
