Carcass When it comes to pounds of product, carcass weight (CW), the average bull in this sale will generate 28 pounds of additional red meat product. There are 35 bulls in this sale that exceed the breed median with 14 of those bulls in the top 10% of the breed. The average bull in this sale ribeye area (REA) EPD equates to a value 120% of the average bull in the breed. Every bull is above the average, with 23 bulls in the top 20% of the breed. With additional pressure and increased premium for higher quality grade carcasses, marbling has become significantly more important. 24 bulls exceed their average breed peer, with 16 bulls in top 25% of the breed. The top bull is nearly 3 times the breed average. 36 bulls in the offering have secured the $CHB logo this equates to the progeny of these bulls generating a $9/cwt advantage. 25 of the bulls are in breed leading company ranking in the top quarter of the breed.

Sustained fertility, combined with selection for moderate framed, easy fleshing, efficient, highly productive females is exemplified as you study the number of bulls that are produced by generations of females that have obtained the Dam of Distinction (DOD). As we strive to increase Maternal Milk (MM), it is evident as you study the 6 pound advantage these Dvorak bulls have. It is also equally important that we do that with intensive selection of udder and teat quality. 44 bulls top the breed average for milk flow, with 18 bulls in top 10% and 5 in the top 1%. Milk and growth (MG) is a trend that we strive to capture these traits.
