Kids on the go to grow a garden

Parents have been lobbying the Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) for the beautification pro- posal and have now received approval for some limited flower-planting around the school and creation of a memorial garden around the flagpole. “It’s the first step,” said Kortelainen. “This will be an ongoing project.” The project has received some in-kind support from gardening supply outlets like Bergeron in Rockland and Le Migrateur in Cumberland.
