In Paul’s memory Since the company’s foundation in the 1970s, the “Paul Braham” reputation for high standards of workmanship and prompt completion of contracts spread throughout Northern Ireland, with Paul’s teams of electricians working in all corners of the country. Back in the day, Paul maintained daily radio contact with his teams from the head office in Warrenpoint to ensure controlled planning of all operations. In 1993, the Managing Director was appointed chairman of the Electrical Contractors Association due to his experience and contribution to the industry, but also the considerable emphasis he placed on training and personal development. Sadly, Paul Braham passed away in 2021 and didn’t get to see the company he started reach the 50-year mark. To celebrate Paul’s life, his son Thomas worked closely with Newry Lions Club to organise a memorial cycle and walk in aid of Cancer Research UK and Northern Ireland in April 2022. The event raised over £13,000 for cancer research and offered everyone an opportunity to support a great cause and remember Paul’s community spirit. “My dad built this business on his personal core values and instilled them in the heart of our company,” commented Director Thomas Braham. “He valued people, hard work, job quality and skilled workmanship, but also respect for others and the personal touch everyone brought to the company.”

The business is managed from the headquarters in Warrenpoint and now accounts for 60% of the company’s workload. After 50 years in the business, the company was once again ready to embark on a new chapter as “Braham Group”. The new name reflects their expansion and ability to provide a complete installation package to clients, including Electrical Contracting, Mechanical

and the current team stepped up. Today, the

senior management team is formed by Managing Director Ciaran McQuaid and Directors Thomas Braham and Jason McQuaid. The Group today Braham Electrical continued to grow and has become a key player in the sector. In 2020, after Brexit, the company split the business into North and South, creating an Irish Company for the ROI market.

With approximately 40 full-time members of staff, as well as over 100 sub-contractors and self-employed engineers, and a fleet of 24 vehicles, their experienced and versatile team continues going from strength to strength, as Braham Group reaches new heights in this latest venture.
