A fter a brief hiatus Benevolent Association (IEBA) Winter Ball came back glitzier than never with the “Roaring 20s”, held on November 18 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dublin. The guests embarked on a trip back in time sporting the best swing-era gear and danced until the wee hours of the morning to the sound of the Beverly Boys. due to the pandemic, the Irish Electrical The raffle and the “last man standing” challenge achieved almost €8000, and the final amount raised for IEBA was an astounding €25,000, excluding donations. The main sponsor of the night was WEEE Ireland. “They have been the headline sponsor for the past three years and we really appreciate their support,” commented IEBA President Cel O’Reilly. Prosecco Reception and Ireland’s Electrical Magazine sponsored the Ladies Novelty 20s Attire award. The generous prizes of the night were donated by KAL, LG Ireland, Peats Wholesale and Expert Electrical. The winter ball was the last IEBA fundraiser of 2022, but it is possible to make a donation at any time at www.irisheba.ie. The next event will be the traditional Leopardstown Race Day on February 5, in Dublin. Early booking is advised, and tables for 10 people are being sold for €1500.
