The greatest adventures on Earth brought to you by Hays Travel
World,
meet G The greatest adventures on Earth.
Brought to you by
Hi, we’re G Adventures
Doing our thing since 1990 We’re the world’s leading small group adventure travel company and we’ve been that way for more than 30 years. How’d we do it? It’s simple — by listening to our travellers and giving them exactly what they want. We’re talking flexible itineraries, freedom to explore, safety and peace of mind, smaller groups, and locally based guides who are, without a doubt, the best in the game. If this sounds like your kind of adventure, well, it appears this book landed in the right hands.
Where do we go? Where don’t we go.
With over 600 trips across all seven continents, we’re all over the map — in a good way. And with a whole lot of Travel Styles to choose from, we’ve got every type of adventure under the sun too. Heart-pumping trips that’ll get you moving. Marine-based trips that’ll have you cruising. And even fancy trips that’ll have you swooning. You want adventures? We’ve got ‘em in every shape and size. Change the world by having the time of your life Our trips are a ridiculous amount of fun — but it doesn’t stop there. When you travel with us, you’ll discover our commitment to doing good is in everything we do. It’s in the places we eat, the places we sleep, even in the trees we grow for each day you travel with us. Wherever we go, we’re committed to giving back to the people and places we visit. This is a little something we like to call “Community Tourism” — and it’s at the core of every single thing we do.
Six ways our trips will change your world

1. Guides so good we call them CEOs The biggest reason travellers book our trips over and over and over again? Our legendary Chief Experience Officers, aka CEOs. They are, to put it simply, the best guides on the planet. Their superhuman-level of local knowledge means you get insider access to the best spots in town. Their never-ending enthusiasm will have your group gelling like you’ve all been friends since primary school. And their ability to keep your trip running smoothly is worthy of a Nobel Prize. Our CEOs are, in every sense, some of the most incredible people you’ll ever meet — hence why we gave them the fancy title.
Meet a few of our CEOs
Fabi Cornejo What’s your CEO super power? “I’m a foodie, so no one will have a bad food experience on one of my trips.” PERU
THAILAND
Kulika Limkeaw What’s your best piece of travel advice? “Be open-minded and understanding about cultural differences. Open your mind and your heart, then you’ll enjoy everything, everywhere.”
INDIA
Shakti Singh Ranawat What’s your most memorable on-trip moment?
“A very special moment at the magical Taj Mahal where a traveller wanted to propose to his partner. She said yes! And the celebration in the evening was even grander. I added a cultural touch by getting a group of Kalbalia (dancers) to perform alongside the bonfire, and all the group members dressed in traditional Indian attires, like sarees and turbans, with fireworks in the background. I’m so grateful for opportunities to create a memory people will cherish for a lifetime!”
2. Small groups. Lots of passports.
We keep our groups small to keep you feeling connected: to the places you’re exploring, and the group-mates you’re doing it alongside. And because our groups are made up of travellers from countries all across the planet, you’ll be experiencing the world just by who you’re travelling it with.
3. As ungrouped as it gets
Want group travel that doesn’t feel like group travel? Keep reading. Our trips combine the security and camaraderie of travelling with others, with the freedom to do your own thing. You get well-planned itineraries that include the perfect amount of free time for optional activities, or doing whatever else your adventurous heart desires.

4. Immersive experiences are how we roll Seeing the world is fun! But experiencing it? That’s where the magic happens. With us, you’re not just sitting down for a local meal or watching a traditional dance from the sidelines. Our trips get you in the action; like breaking bread with local families right in their home, or busting moves as if you’re part of the dance troupe yourself.
5. Giving back has never been so fun
What’s better than going on the adventure of a lifetime? Changing the world while you’re at it. We call that “Community Tourism”, and it’s an idea we pioneered over 30 years ago. It means you can feel good knowing your holiday is constantly giving back to the people you meet, the places you go, and now, with our new Trees For Days program, the planet itself. Every hotel you sleep in, every restaurant you eat at, every tree you help us grow — you’re making a difference that ripples through every community that makes it possible. Our trips don’t just transform you, but the rest of the world, too. And the best part about it? All you’ve gotta do is have the time of your life.

The difference we’re making together
Trees for Days When you say your trips are good for the world, that has to include the planet too. Trees For Days is our global program for doing just that. For every day a traveller is on one of our trips, we’ll grow a tree on their behalf in one of 16 reforestation projects around the world. More days equals more trees, and a healthier planet overall.
Planeterra Planeterra is our non-profit partner dedicated to making sure communities touched by tourism benefit from the opportunities it provides. They do this by helping empower local people to develop their communities, conserve their cultures, and implement plans for reaching their goals.
Ripple Score When it comes to benefiting local economies, we want to put our money where our mouth is. That’s why we created the Ripple Score. On a scale from 1 to 100, it shows what percentage of a traveller’s money stays in the local communities they visit on their trip with us. The higher the number, the bigger impact their money has.

Essential Vietnam and Cambodia
Some experiences change you, and a group trip to Antarctica is one of them. Opt to hike Tierra del Fuego National Park, before setting sail from Ushuaia on our 134-passenger ‘G Expedition’ polar ship. Cross Drake’s Passage, watch humpback whales below and mighty albatross above, encounter enormous rookeries of penguins, and learn as much about yourself as the Great White Continent as you explore a place few ever will.
Mekong memories on adventures in Vietnam and Cambodia Sample two bucket-list destinations on a tour from Hanoi to Bangkok, a smorgasbord of guided (included!) excursions balancing history, culture and adventure with plenty of free time. Eat seafood on a junk boat in Halong Bay and watch lanterns illuminate Hoi An at night. Experience the Mekong’s invigorating chaos, and contemplate two sides of Cambodia’s past: the sombre stories of Phnom Penh and the marvels of Angkor Wat.

My adventure with G STORE MANAGER HAYS TRAVEL KIRKHAM Learn what Rob loved about travelling Morocco with G Adventures.
What was your most recent G Adventures trip? I went on the Moroccan Sahara Discovery back in October of 2023.
What surprised you the most?
What was it like travelling as a small group? I love how we all came together and made such great memories together – I mean we conquered the Sahara, how could we not bond! We have all stayed in touch too, and plan to meet up again in the future. What G Adventures trip is next for you? I would absolutely LOVE to go on a G trip to Asia – I’ve got my eyes on a tour that goes to Vietnam and Cambodia. For me, it would be important to go with G because I know I’m being guided by a local CEO, someone who lives and breathes the places they’re showing us. I also know that I would actually be supporting the local communities this way too.
I would have to say the quality of the excursions on the trip. I love to do different and challenging things on my holiday and I wasn’t let down in this aspect. Each person we met was local and had great insight. We went to a local village to see how they make their pottery and it was so interesting to see how these people live their lives compared to my own.
What was your experience like?
I had the best time! I have never done a tour like this before. To march through the Sahara in the day and lie on sand dunes staring up at the Milky Way at night is something I’ll never forget. Our CEO, Mustapha, guided us through the journey and was there for any of our needs. He had all the answers to our questions and had fantastic local knowledge. What was your favourite moment on the trip? That would have to be after our camel ride (or walk, as I chose), and sitting in the shadow of a luscious tree on a handmade rug, enjoying lots of fresh Moroccan tea and handpicked dates. To chill out and enjoy the treats was exactly what we needed as a group. We had time to bond and share stories before moving on to our 4x4 ride. It was fabulous.
What did your CEO do to make a difference?
Mustapha was incredible. He was an absolute fountain of knowledge. He had the answers to all our questions, and told us some beautiful stories about his local area. He was also there as a shoulder to lean on when we needed him. I felt totally safe with Mustapha guiding us along the way. He had water on hand when we needed it, advice for what to say to the local vendors in their shops, and tips and tricks for how to
get a good deal in the market! He really went the extra mile.

FAAQ: Frequently Asked Adventure Questions
How adventurous are we talking here? For the average traveller, it all depends on the trip you’re looking to take. Our treks into thin air up Mt Kilimanjaro? Pretty intense! Our local living tours at an agriturismo in Italy? Not so much. Our definition of adventure is getting out of your comfort zone and trying something new — whatever that means for you. Do I need to travel with a partner? Nope, we love, love, love our solo travellers! In fact, a whopping 51% of our travellers set foot on their adventure on their own. And while they may arrive solo, they always return home with new friends from all across the world. Do we only cater to young travellers? As long as you’re above the age of seven, we’ve got an adventure with your name on it. Our family trips open the world to baby- faced explorers. Our two youth Travel Styles are made for 18 to mid-to-late 30-year-olds. And everything else we offer welcomes adult travellers of all ages. How flexible are the itineraries? Every one of our itineraries are built to allow for flexibility and freedom. Want to skip out on a group dinner one night? Do your thing! Itching to check out the local spa on your afternoon off? We’ll give you our recos. Rather have your own private room? Our “My Own Room” option has your back.
What’s the accommodation and transportation like?
No megabuses or thousand-room hotel chains here. We don’t just want to see the hot spots, we want to go deeper into our destination and closer to the things that matter. With an average group size of 10-12 travellers (and a max of 16), we’re able to do just that. Why book my adventure with Hays Travel? Because on top of booking the trip itself, they’ll package together your flights too. So, if you want to spend a couple days in your destination before or after your trip, they make it easy to find and book flights for making it happen.
